World Beer Cup gold medal-winner (gluten free category) in its first year, this Atlanta-based gluten free beer brand is gaining serious traction throughout Georgia. Güten Beer needed help expanding the brand system to other assets beyond the existing logo and green and yellow color palette of its can design.
The founders own several athletic and wellness brands, so we wanted to cross market to their built-in health-conscious audiences. I chose woodsy photos with a dark overlay for legibility and to break up the color palette. Yellow became an accent color, as I focused more on greens and blacks to drive home the outdoorsy feeling.
The new brand system combines fresh forms with a retro aesthetic for a cool, old-school vibe to target millennial, hipster, and mature beer drinkers alike.
